Easter came and I couldn't help bringing the little kids in us. After all you're only as old as you think you are!
By this time Sven had repainted all the ceilings and painted the walls in the bathroom and toilet.
I have to mention this funny thing about the toilet… Ben (the previous owner) was handicapped so he had the toilet built up to accommodate him, which meant a very uncomfortable setting for us.

We had to have a box!... to rest our feet on for a few weeks, until Sven replaced it.
What a job! Breaking the wall around the pipe, digging out the slab outside to get at the connection, taking everything out, replacing the "throne", tiling around and under, grouting, fixing the hole in the wall… Finally finished! It didn't take Sven a long time to do all this, once he got started it all happened... like everything he does!
We have now a functional toilet.

One week after Easter, Joel, Marika and Byron came to visit
And we went exploring the many arms of "our lake". Some places are so breathtaking and mysterious it transported us on the Amazon river (as mentioned by Marika and Byron who have been there not so long ago). Come and explore with me.
God morgon alla! (Good morning everyone!) |

It was getting rather chilly by then and foggy in the mornings. But thanks to "old Benny" we were never cold.
We tried fishing for red-claws but with the weather cooling down rapidly we only managed to catch a few.

The one that didn't get away! |
The curlews wanted to be fed.
Hello there! |
Anyone home? |
We want food! |
Oh alright then! |
Then Joel and Sven started building the front fence.
We live right at the end of the street with nowhere else to go. Due to the magnificent view, a lot of people drive this no through road, which means that they have to turn on our landing and could then see right through the house.
We didn't like this lack of privacy so… up goes the fence.

Original fence... not much it! |
Very private now and we love it.
